Wolds AONB?

Wolds AONB?

A recent article in the Yorkshire Post has hinted that the East Riding of Yorkshire Council now wants to see the Yorkshire Wolds recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

This is a national designation and was created by the National Parks and Access to Countryside Act of 1949.

There are currently 33 AONB areas in England and hopefully the Yorkshire Wolds will become the 34th.

I’ll bring and more news as it happens…
